Data security and AI readiness
AI makes information incredibly easy to find, including information that isn't meant for everyone. I help you find, label and protect sensitive data with Microsoft Purview, so you can start using AI safely.
When is this for you?
- You want to start using Microsoft 365 Copilot or other AI tools
- You don't know exactly where sensitive data lives or who can access it
- Files are shared too easily, including outside the organisation
- You need to comply with GDPR and want to prevent data leaks
My approach
Map your data
Where is sensitive information stored, and who has access? I also look at overshared sites, teams and links.
Design labels
A simple label structure of four or five levels that people understand, with encryption and marking where needed.
Pilot
We test with one department, so the labels fit how people actually work.
Rollout and DLP
Roll out labels and run DLP policies in simulation first, then enforce them in email, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
Bring people along
Short explanations and instructions, because security only works when users understand why.
What you get
- A label scheme and policy
- DLP policies for your most important data
- An overview of overshared information with improvements
- Advice on using AI and Copilot safely
- User instructions

My experience
I implement Information Protection and data protection solutions and I'm certified as an Information Security Administrator (SC-401), Information Protection Administrator (SC-400) and in Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900).
